  • Support the people who protect our community. Provide tools to support recruiting and hiring, training and on-going safety for our police officers, firemen, and first responders. Prioritize specific areas of concern by residents and eliminate the detrimental activities.

  • Using our police and fire department continue to engage the community, especially our children, with current programs. Create a cohesive and transparent environment that works towards the goal of continuous improvement in our community.

  • Adding programs such as Head Start, Living Books, Books to Borrow and community mentoring to improve reading and math skills in our students. Support for our school leaders and teachers to bring consistency in the curriculum and individual focus.

  • Create a pathway for future commissioners. Start by teaching Holly Hill Government 101 and where we are now, providing positive information and encourage them to share this information in the community. Provide the opportunity to intern in all departments and give them hands-on experience.

  • Continue to grow our economy through new businesses and contributing to the success of current businesses using the resources provided by the Economic Development department. Strategic partners for funding, financial guidance, and access to grants and community loans for new and existing businesses. Attract larger and more diversified businesses which provide better job opportunities and competitive wages.

  • Provide the resources needed to support our seniors: access and transportation to healthcare, fostering aging in place, and inclusiveness in the community. Work with the Volusia County Council on Aging to provide engaging senior activities, meals on wheels, in-home care, Coffee Talk and Little Brothers – Friends of the Elderly.

  • Focus on infrastructure including roads, sidewalks and drainage issues. Make available the plans for streets and highways in Volusia County and encourage residents to get involved in what is being done for the next 10 years.

  • Work with code enforcement to improve the overall health and safety of Holly Hill. Provide the avenue for reporting problems and challenges in specific neighborhoods and enlisting everyone to report issues before they are detrimental.
